Update 9/24/2020
Sent via email 9/24/2020
Westside Soccer Families:
Here is an update on recreational soccer from the Westside Soccer board. We plan to publish occasional updates between now and the spring season, so our families know what we are up to.
During 2020, we transitioned our website and on-line registration system to a new platform called Demosphere. You are receiving this email because either you were registered for Fall 2020 or you were in our database on the old system (Bonzi/Stack Sports), and those addresses were imported into our new registration system (Demosphere).
Our new website is www.westsidesoccerclub.com. In order to register with Westside Soccer Club, each family will need to create a Demosphere account. If you registered this fall, you have already created that account. For those of you who did not register for Fall 2020, you can go to our website and click on "Register for WSC mailing list" or you can wait until the next time that you register a player.
As for this fall, you should already know that the THJSL league season was cancelled. While some clubs are holding "camps" to allow kids to practice, Westside has chosen not to do that. We are prioritizing getting kids back into classrooms and so we do not want to provide any additional opportunities for the virus to spread.
An upcoming important event for the club is our Annual General Meeting. It will be held over Zoom on TBD date. At this meeting, we review events of the prior year, present our financial status, and hold elections for Age Group Coordinators and executive board positions. Everyone is welcome to attend. The agenda and meeting link will be sent out in early November.
As for next spring, we usually begin registration in early November. This year, we will be holding off on any registrations until at least Jan 4, 2021. We need to wait and see if Washington County gets into phase 2, if students are allowed back in classrooms, if HS sports are proceeding, and if fields are likely to be available. Additional updates will certainly be published at that time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and please stay safe.
