Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT POLICY
Payment is due at the time of registration. If registration indicates payment by check or cash, payment must be submitted within 5 business days or the player will be moved to “Inactive” status. Registration is not considered complete until payment has been received, and a player will not be rostered until full payment is made. Placement requests will be honored based on availability at the time of payment, not registration (no exceptions). Payment may be made during WSC office hours in person or over the phone to pay with Visa or MasterCard.

TEAM FORMATION
THJSL expects club Registrars and Age Group Coordinators (AGCs) to ensure fair rostering, prevent selective recruitment, and address team transfer requests carefully. Coaches must not interfere with player placement.

While WSC aims to provide the opportunity for all eligible players to play, it may not always be possible to accommodate all placement requests.  Resolution of issues and final placement decisions are at the discretion of the WSC Executive Board.

FINANCIAL AID
Westside Soccer Club seeks to have a liberal policy of providing scholarships for basic registration fees. Cost of uniform and equipment are not included in the scholarship, but requests for financial aid for uniforms will be considered. 

  • If there are funds from other sources, such as THPRD financial aid, confirmation must be received before placement on a team (confirmed that payment will be sent).

  • Players living outside of THPRD or Beaverton School District are not eligible for Westside Soccer Club financial aid.

REFUNDS
To request a refund for registration fees, email us at westsidesoccerinfo@gmail.com.
Fall season refund requests made by August 15 will be refunded minus a $15 administrative fee.Spring season refund requests made by March 15 will be refunded minus a $15 administrative fee.
Late registration refunds for registrations completed during the late registration period, will be issued minus a $15 administrative fee and the $20 late registration fee, totaling $35.
After these dates, no refunds will be given. Exceptions to these policies are at the discretion of the WSC Executive Board.

CANCELLATION OF GAMES OR SEASON   
If an entire season is canceled due to weather, public health issues, or other reasons, registration fees will be refunded minus a $15 administrative fee. This fee covers expenses already incurred (credit card fees, web hosting, OYSA fees, and scheduling costs).

There will be no refunds for canceled individual games or practices. Extreme weather conditions are a risk for outdoor sports programs and can happen any time of year. This policy covers any reason for the cancellation of games or practices.

​DUAL ROSTERING
WSC allows dual rostering for players in a U10 and under development program provided by another club. Both clubs must approve the player being dual rostered.

WSC does not allow dual rostering for:

  • Players in a U11 and older development program provided by a competitive organization.
  • on a competitive team and/or select team within a competitive organization.rosteredPlayers
  • Playerson rostered any other organization's program within the Tualatin Hills Junior Soccer League (THJSL) (players cannot play with 2 different clubs).
  • Players rostered on any high school soccer team (JVII, JV, or Varsity).

PLAYERS REQUESTING TO PLAY UP A GRADE
Requests to play at a higher grade level should be made during registration or via email to westsidesoccerinfo@gmail.com after registering. An explanation from a parent/guardian for the different grade assignment is required. Changes to a player’s group and team placement are subject to WSC Executive Board discretion.

Guidelines:

  • WSC does not assess talent; parents/guardians should place players appropriately.
  • Playing up more than one grade is not allowed. (A player advanced by one year in school based on age cannot play an additional year up).
  • Playing up applies only to Pre-K through G7 players. G8 may not play up to HS Rec.
  • Multiple players from a previous team requesting to play up a grade level are not guaranteed placement on the same team.
  • For a more advanced environment, request information about competitive soccer clubs in the area.

TEAMS REQUESTING TO PLAY UP A GRADE
WSC does not allow full teams to play up a grade level.

BEAVERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT
Westside Soccer Club generally registers players from Beaverton School District and several private schools in the South Beaverton area.

PRIVACY POLICY
WESTSIDE SOCCER only collects personal information when you request our services and only uses the information collected to provide those services for you. If you choose to make a purchase, you will be asked to provide contact information (such as your name and shipping address) and financial information (such as your credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to process your order. WESTSIDE SOCCER handles all of this data with the utmost confidentiality.

THIRD PARTIES
Any personal information provided will not be traded, rented, sold or otherwise shared with anyone outside of WESTSIDE SOCCER, or used for reasons beyond those contemplated in this statement. From time to time, we may engage third parties to process your information on our behalf; however, none of WESTSIDE SOCCER affiliates (such as our credit card company) have permission to retain, share, store or use personal information for any reason other than providing the requested service.

SECURITY
To prevent unauthorized access, disclosure and improper use of your information, we have established appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to protect the information we collect in accordance with our privacy policy.

Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet." (etc.)

Furthermore, your credit card number, expiration date and CSV code is never stored in our systems.

Our systems are routinely scanned by a third party provider for security vulnerabilities in compliance with the policies of VISA / MASTERCARD.
